As the younger of two children, Carrie-Anne Moss was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on
August 21.1970. At the age of 11 she was starring in a children musical theater. During her senior
year at the exclusive Magee Secendory, she was chosen to tour Europe with the school choir.
After a taste of celebrity life, she set out on her own to become a model and moved to Europe.
Success was almost immediate, and it wasn't long until she landed modeling jobs in Toronto,
Japan and in Spain at the age of twenty, where she shot her first of many international magazine covers.
While working in Spain, she landed a regular role in the television series "Dark Justice," which
was produced in Barcelona for the first season.
She moved to Los Angeles the following year when the series switched shooting locations.In the six
short years since her acting career began, Carrie has appeared in several hours of
television plus many television series prior to Models, Inc.
For her role in Due South in 1996, she was nominated for the Gemini Award for the: "Best Performance
by an Actress in a guest role in a dramatic series". In addition to television, she completed films,
and still enjoys the stage and recently appeared at the Hudson Theater in Los Angeles in the production
Outeared Bound.
Carrie-Anne Moss studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena. She has
learned to release the stress of L.A. lifestyle through exercise and meditaion. In addition
to roller blading and bicycling she does "karobics", a form of karate mixed with arobics,
with her endurance trainer Ray. She is single and currently resides in Beverly Hills with
her dog "Sherman Blue" (a Weimeraner) and a cat named "Rudy".
