Shannon was born September 7, 1976, in Houston, Texas. Shannon is a model and a star actress.
She is the only child of a Syrian/Lebanese father and a mother of Cherokee decent. At the young
age of two, she began to learn ballet and tap dancing and loved to sing and show off in any way
possible. When Shannon was in the third grade, her family moved to Waco, Texas, where many of her
relatives lived. Her parents figured it would be safer to raise their family in a small town instead
of the big city. Shannon describes Waco as really boring, but states, "I'm sure I did have more
freedom living there".
Everyone seemed to make the best of what the small town had to offer. Shannon joined the Waco City
Choir to test her vocal talent and got her first taste of performing with that group of entertainers.
She then discovered a new love and ambition, the game of Tennis. Soon, she became the number one
player on her high school tennis team and competed in various state tournaments regularly. At one
point, she toyed with the idea of going pro and making the sport of tennis her life career.
Unfortunately, her high school tennis coach was not a good role model and one by one everyone
left the team.
Soon, her attention turned to other academic and extra curricular activities, Student Council,
National Honor Society, Cheerleading and Dancing. These talents directed Shannon into the
entertainment field, which she truly enjoyed. During Shannon's senior year, she had the opportunity
to be in a video for a local band. The producer of the project thought that she should try modeling
and proceeded to pitch the idea to her parents. During the Christmas holiday school break, Shannon
and her family ended up going to New York to have some pictures taken and meet with some agencies.
By the end of their trip, she had an agent who was waiting for her to graduate from high school
and move to the Big Apple.
Shannon traveled to New York City for the first time by herself, and found it fascinating and a
bit terrifying. This was Shannon's beginning of working with various magazines and traveling to s
uch places as Australia, Japan, Paris and Hong Kong. Shannon was humbled and felt lucky to be
getting paid to travel and see the world at the same time.
Returning to the USA, Shannon traveled to LA, for a planned visit with a friend for a couple of weeks.
She had dreams of starting an acting career on the west coast but felt that LA would eat her alive.
Shannon decided to go ahead and get a modeling agent and have some pictures taken, and signed on
with the Ford Modeling Agency. Within a couple of weeks of arriving in LA, she ended up booking a
Taco Bell commercial. From the first commercial, Shannon has managed to succeed in show business
with very little difficulty. Her most recent works are "American Pie", "Scary Movie", and
"Seamless". Shannon has been featured in Playboy and has hosted for VH1. She is rising to
stardom quickly.
